Dear members of our association and friends of our village, we welcome you to our website.
The Internet has made possible entirely new forms of social interaction, activities and organising, thanks to its basic features such as widespread usability and access. With this thought and after our yearly meeting on Sunday 11th of January 2009, the Administrative Council of our association decided to create this website, because we believe that it is the best projection for the association and our village. Feel free visit our website, in order to be informed, to see photographs and videos from old events, to bring back memories of old and traditional words and phrases, funny local stories, traditional songs, sights and scenic walks, articles, as well as various other useful information. We will try to update the site with news and other information about  our village,Taxiarchis.
We hope this website will be a new gateway of continuous communication as well as an important source of access to information for all the friends of our village along with our members who live in Greece and throughout the world. Please feel free to send us any articles of interest, statements, photographic material and any other items you consider suitable for publication. This website will be the place for everyone to express their opinions and to propose ideas that will help in the rescue, the projection and the distribution of our cultural heritage. It will also be a place to view proposals, that will aim at the improvement of structures, the quality of life for residents and for our village.
As the Administrative Council of Taxiarchis people, we want to honour our place of origin, consider that all of us together,linked as a family, we will keep alive our tradition and we will do the best for our village.
We hope that with your help and support,we can make this website even better and full of information, so we can be useful for our village and its visitors.
